Wizards were the Highest paid Actors of Hollywood in 2009

Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) are the highest paid actor and actress for the year 2009, for two parts of harry potter and deathly hallows.

According to, estimation of Vanity Fair magazine Daniel was the highest paid actor of 2009 with $41 million, $20 million for two potter movies and $1 million as royalty of older movies. He was ranked 6th overall in the list of Hollywood’s 40 highest paid celebrities. Michael Bay (director, transformers 3), with an estimated payment of $125 million was the first in this ranking. Watson was the highest paid actress with $30 million, making 14th to the overall list. Their Harry potter co-star Rupert Grint is placed alongside Watson with the same $30 million earnings.

In 2009, Hollywood set of a domestic box-office record of $10.6 billion in spite of decreased in flow of money and attendance of audience at theatres, according to Vanity Fair. The magazine considered elite lists of Hollywood actors, actresses, directors and producers, while financers, distributers and agents were overlooked. The income paid only in 2009 was considered for these estimations.

Interestingly, first five places are secured by producer/directors like Michael Bay ($125 million), Steven Spielberg ($85 million), Roland Emmerich ($70 million), James Cameron ($50 million), and Todd Phillips ($44 million). At the sixth rank, Daniel Radcliffe has put the likes of Ben Stiller ($40 million), Tom Hanks ($36 million), Adam Sandler ($31.5 million), Denzel Washington ($31 million), Owen Wilson ($29 million), Nicolas Cage ($28 million), Russell Crowe ($28 million), Johnny Depp ($25 million), Steve Carell ($25 million), Robert De Niro ($24.5 million), Robert Downey Jr. ($22 million), George Cloony ($22 million), Matt Damon ($22 million), Robbert Pattison ($18 million), Mark Wahlberg ($16 million), and Brad Pitt ($13.5 million) behind.


Watson is heading the list from Cameron Diaz ($27 million), Sarah Jessica Parker ($24 million), Katherine Heigl ($24 million), Reese Witherspoon ($21 million), Angelina Jolie ($21 million), Jennifer Aniston ($20 million), and Sandra Bullock ($20 million). Dan and Emma are also the youngest in the list.
