Chinese Government : No Involvement in Google Cyber Attacks (Hackings) - New Mashable

Google Inc.

BEIJING - China denied involvement in Internet Hacking attacks and defended its online censorship as lawful and necessary Monday after the USA asked Beijing to investigate a computer attack against US Giant Google.

An unknown Chinese spokesperson form the IT Department said
“Accusation that the Chinese government participated in (any) cyberattack, either in an explicit or inexplicit way, is groundless and aims to denigrate China.” The spokesperson also stated that “China’s policy on Internet safety is transparent and consistent.”

Xinhua cited the State Council, China's Cabinet, as criticizing what it called interference in the country's domestic affairs. "We have been hoping that Google will contact us so that we could have details on this issue and provide them help if necessary," Zhou Yonglin, the team's deputy chief of operations, said in an interview with Xinhua posted on the team's Web site.

But China is still suspicious. It took China 11 long days to come out and say that they were not involved in the cyber attacks on Google after google accused chinese government and Baidu for such attacks on Jan 12.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has criticized the censorship of cyberspace which also faced a strong counterattack from China. The Foreign Ministry on Friday said her remarks damaged bilateral relations, while a Chinese state newspaper said Washington was imposing "information imperialism" on China.

Google has not yet stopped censoring search results on google.cn, but Google chief executive Eric Schmidt said Thursday it will happen soon.
"We continue to follow their laws, we continue to offer censored results. But in a reasonably short time from now we will be making some changes there," Schmidt said.

Google says it remains optimistic that it can convince China's ruling party to loosen restrictions and censorship on the Internet, so it can continue business in China. Chinese government has given no indication of it willing to change its policies.

It seems like this issue is not going tobe resolved sooner and we will be getting interesting political and business news for a long time.

Sorry, your password can't be reset online (9024) - Yahoo Login Problem

Does it Says something like this when you try to login your yahoo account. New Mashable has tried to solve this problem for you.

'Sorry, your password can't be reset online (9024)
For security reasons, we require you to contact Customer Care'

This is a very big problem and many of the users have faced this problem. I had an email account with Yahoo since last 6 years and they just Disabled my account for no definite reasons. Suddenly one day when I Tried to login to my account, i was unable to do so and an error showed up. When I clicked on 'My password doesn't works' and tried to recover my password, I got this message.

Sorry, your password can't be reset online (9024)

I was asked to contact Customer Care at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/cctop10/online_help.html

When I did contacted customer care, the reply I received was very very shocking. My Yahoo Message board account, according to them was not following the terms and conditions and so they have disabled my account. For any unknown reason even if they have found that the TOS were not followed in my messgae board, they have no right to disable my Yahoomail account which had around 5000 emails in it.

I lost all my emails as well as my address book. They also disabled my Yahoo Messenger account as well as my Mybloglog account associated with the same id. I mean just think of you getting your Youtube account banned because you did something bad in google Finance. Does it makes sense to you.

What they sent me in reply was a link to their TOS which is useless as Yahoo is not going to listen to you. Yahoo has been so much frustrating these days forcing people to move to Gmail or Hotmail.

Some of the users have been successful in getting their accounts back. the best you can do is contact them cia the customer care form at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/cctop10/online_help.html and let them know that you need that account.

Good luck my friends. Do leave comments and also share if you have any similar experience and solved it or have anything which can help our readers.

Google Bans Weight Loss Ads, Get Ripped and other Scam Ads from Its Network

Top Earning blogs
Google removes Scam ads and ads leading to fraudulent sites from network.

I am sure all of you must have seen ads on Google network telling you 'I get ripped in 5 weeks' , 'Obama wants you to go to school',  'Local moms', ' earn money by being at home buy buying our kit' and the list goes on.

Finally there is some Advertising company who has taken a stand against the tooth whitener and weight loss ad nuisance. That is not a small company but in fact its Google. Finally the company has decided to preserve its good image by banning ads like loss your weight – 5 lbs in a week, White teeth in just an hour and so on. It has decided to ban ads which take to fraudulent websites claiming easy way to make money. Initially, they would take action banning individual ads and not advertisers.

Even this would create a problem of creation of thousands of same type of ads like say hundreds "local moms" who had identified the secret to weight loss or Obama wants adults to go to school Or ‘I got Ripped in 2 weeks’

Chadwick Matlin at The Big Money explains:
Up until now [Google] has taken action against ads, not advertisers. If an ad violated one of Google's terms of use, the search giant would take it out of circulation, but that's it. Google briefed TBM on its new policy: It will now ban the advertiser, not the ad, effectively neutering the advertiser's ability to shift from one ad and shell site to another. Think of it like the struggle between the police and a graffiti vandal. Up until now Google has only been erasing the tags after they've been put up. Going forward, they're going to take away his spray cans and put a GPS collar on him, making sure he never does it again. It would be a principled stand by any company, but especially by Google because of its position in the market.
Its really difficult to ban the advertisers permanently as it may lead to false positives and can be harmful in the future.

But hopefully we will get less ( better than many) such ads now on our websites which is good for we bloggers as people usually just ignore such ads.
